Corporate Express Sponsors Seminar for The City Of Sydney Law Society on Discretionary Trusts
As part of its commitment to provide information of value to its clients and the wider business community, Corporate Express sponsored a seminar for the City of Sydney Law Society (CSLS).
Having built a strong reputation over the years as providers
of Discretionary Trust and Unit Trust Deeds, Corporate Express
is often asked many technical questions in relation to trustees,
settlors and appointors,.
Introducing the Seminar on 25 June, 2008, Robert Zitek, Director
of Corporate Express said "We thought that in light of the
level of interest we are seeing on this subject, it was timely
that the topic of our sponsored seminar relate to Discretionary
Trusts."
The Deeds Corporate Express supplies to its clients are drafted and regularly updated by Tresscox Lawyers. Michael Heraghty, the lead partner at Tresscox kindly accepted the invitation to present a paper for the CSLS. Michael has 32 year experience in providing legal services and has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, business structures, merger and acquisitions, commercial agreements, commercial and tax law applying to doctors, estate and business succession planning, tax and superannuation. Michael is and continues to be an invaluable resource to our business and our clients.
Michael’s paper encompassed practical tips and traps in establishing family discretionary trusts.
Michael also invited Robert Gordon to present a paper. Robert has had extensive experience in large accountancy and law firms. Since 1992 he has been a member of the NSW Bar Association specialising in tax with a special interest in international tax laws.
Robert’s paper focused on the use of family discretionary trust for overseas asset protection and taxation.
The seminar was attended by 42 members of the CSLS and was well received by the attendees.

10th Anniversary
This year celebrates the 10th anniversary of the commencement
of ASIC's Electronic Company Registration (ECR). We are proud
to know that Corporate Express registered the first company
on-line via the internet. This achievement was the result
of the vision and sheer hard work of our founder, Susan Charteris.
The team at Corporate Express is dedicated to continue to
provide cutting edge services to their clients.

Case Study - Online Branding
Cathy Le of Corporate Express was recently featured in the Business Section of the Sydney Morning Herald in an article
on on-line branding.
Sharing our name with a multi-national provider of stationary creates many difficulties and frustrations.
To differentiate ourselves on-line we sought the services of E-Web Marketing Australia to optimize our website.
With their assistance, those who want incorporation and company secretarial services can find us on-line without confusion.
